TDG wins contract with technology firm VTech

13 November 2008

TDG has won a three-year deal to run the transport operations of technology company VTech in Continental Europe. Under the €25m (£20.7m) contract, VTech's electronic learning products as well as corded and cordless phones will arrive at the port of Rotterdam from factories in Hong Kong.

TDG will transport the goods to its warehouses in the Netherlands and then distribute them to  VTech's markets in the Benelux countries, Germany, France and Spain.

The logistics company will also provide services such as customisation, reconfiguration and repackaging. Tijmen Muijs, managing director at TDG Benelux, says: "Our end-to-end solution fits in very well with VTech's business forecasting model."
