German trailer makers Krone and Schmitz and Japanese chassis manufacturer Isuzu Truck (UK) are the latest big names to confirm their non-attendance at next year’s CV Show.
The announcement from two of Europe’s biggest trailer firms comes hot on the heels of last week’s news that neither DAF nor Scania would be at the show.
Keith Child, marketing director of Isuzu Truck (UK), says: “As far as we are concerned we have taken the difficult decision to pull out of the CV Show in 2009 with the solid intention of returning in 2010.
“We are not launching anything next year, we have nothing new to show, so we are taking the opportunity to save a bit of money and better use those resources on our sales effort elsewhere.”
