DAF Trucks has pulled out of the European Road Transport Show at the RAI in Amsterdam next Autumn. DAF has already dropped out of next April's CV Show at the NEC, along with a number of other manufacturers. This is the press release from the show organisers:
DAF Trucks announced on Thursday 20 November that it has decided to cancel its participation in the European Road Transport Show 2009 (TERTS) for company-related reasons. TERTS 2009 will take place in Amsterdam RAI from 29 October to 5 November 2009.
“Naturally we are disappointed that PACCAR will be absent from the exhibition floor,” says TERTS Manager Fernand Molenschot. “While we recognise that this is not the best of times for the transport sector, we are convinced that our function as a platform for the industry is more necessary than ever at difficult economic times such as these.
“We are maintaining close contact with various manufacturers and exhibitors in order to ensure that the TERTS exhibition concept fully reflects the times in which we operate. As a result, we expect the event in October 2009 to be more attractive and relevant than ever.”
