Culina Logistics is opening a new distribution centre in Bristol. Approximately 200 people will be employed at the facility in Cabot Park once it is fully operational. The company says the operation will feature the latest warehouse management systems, which will constantly monitor and update stock levels.
Culina's ambient facility in the Pucklechurch district of the city will relocate to the site by the end of January 2009,
and a chilled operation will begin shortly afterwards.
Steve Winwood, Culina commercial director, says: "It enables us to meet the growing requirements of our current customers, to accommodate some of the volume we anticipate from our recent agreement with Wincanton and to target new business, particularly from the South West region."
