City Link donates cuddly toys to poorly children

Monday 22 December 2008 12:00

Parcels firm City Link is bringing Christmas cheer to poorly kids by donating toys to Birmingham Children's Hospital. The delivery firm has already donated nearly 100 cuddly toys of its 'Fetch the Dog' mascot to the hospital, and plans to distribute 800 more throughout the UK.

Stuart Godman, sales and marketing director at City Link, presented the goods to the hospital. He said: "I hope this donation brings some joy to children this Christmas. We recognise how difficult it can be for children who are in hospital at this time of year."

The group is also offering a two-day 'man and a van' service to help with the Southampton Toy Appeal. Toys will be collected and taken to young people in need groups.
