Experience of previous low-loaders has led AJ Access Platforms to add a bespoke Andover Trailers beavertail plant body to its fleet.
Jeff Maggs, transport manager at AJ Access Platforms, says that over the years the company has used a variety of different bodies. "With that experience, we went for Andover Trailers they have made some real improvements in their products and it is spot on for what we need," he says.
The new arrival - expected to run for four years and cover 50,000 miles annually - takes the fleet size to five. Local work means around 35 movements a week. The body includes a 9.0m hardwood deck floor, eight pairs of platform-level lashing points and an underfloor remote-control hydraulic Ramsey BH550 winch and boom support. It is mounted to 6x2 Scania P270.
"Andover Trailers also has an excellent reputation in the industry for quality and reliability, with strong residual values as an added bonus. Our new Scania is a real showpiece, turning heads on-site, and has impressed everyone who has seen it - from our directors to customers," concludes Maggs.
