Magistrates have dismissed an appeal by six truck drivers over North-East Traffic Commissioner Tom Macartney's decision to disqualify them.
Macartney suspended the licences of the six former M&M Howden Haulage drivers following a series of tachograph offences that resulted in the conviction and imprisonment of Howden's company director and transport manager.
The drivers appealed the TC's decision, but Penrith Magistrates' Court dismissed the appeal and ordered the drivers to pay £250 each to cover VOSA's costs.
