Telecommunications supplier Odyssey Systems has replaced its ageing fleet of Renault Kangoos with seven Citroën Nemo LX 1.4 HDI vans.

The vehicles, supplied by Advanced Vehicles in Stockton-on-Tees, North Yorks, are expected to cover around 50,000 miles per year and can run on a 30% biofuel mixture.

Mike Odysseas, Odyssey Systems' managing  director, says: "We are determined to maintain our company commitment to green efficiency and in this respect the Citroën Nemo ticks all the boxes. We will make full use of the Nemo's dual-fuel capabilities - not only because there is a large depot located near our headquarters in Hartlepool [Co Durham], but because it's far more environmentally friendly."

Odysseas says good fuel consumption, low emissions (119g/km) and competitive price were also deciding factors when it came to purchasing the vans. "[The Nemo] offers good driver comfort and safety and is compact, which makes for good in-town manoeuvrability," he adds.

All of Odyssey's vans come fitted with Trafficmaster satellite navigation, Bluetooth and a backup generator for powering a client's switchboard during a power outage.
