The Lloyd Fraser Group has renewed its contract to replenish all of Focus DIY's stores. The three-year, £30m deal will see the 3PL provider delivering to 180 stores nationwide. Business development manager Mike Dennis says the contract was won after a six-month tendering process.
Dennis adds that supply chains are one area companies will look to squeeze out costs from in a recession, so this renewal shows Focus DIY is content with its service.
He says: "We have another new contract announcement soon and a renewal in our milk [transport] division. Things are hard, but we are very much taking the view that the current economic downturn is creating as much opportunity as hardship if you are prepared to innovate."
