Fleet solutions provider Charthire has leased three Volvo FM prime movers on a six-year full contract to paper-based packaging company Smurfit Kappa. The HGVs will be based at Kappa's Snodland, Kent depot and operate on regional paper and card recycling collection routes.
Plated at 40 tonnes, all three vehicles are powered by Volvo's 440hp 12.8-litre D13 engine and equipped with automatic I-Shift transmission.
Chris Spencer, director of Charthire, says: "We supplied Volvo vehicles to Smurfit Kappa because they've been running them for many years at Snodland and the drivers love them."
Charthire also supplies Smurfit with a mixed fleet of 15 trucks comprising Volvo FEs and Mercedes-Benz Ategos.
