Ford launches new Fiesta Van

Monday 09 March 2009 03:05

The latest version of Ford's best-selling Fiesta Van has gone on sale complete with three engine options and claimed best-in-class fuel economy.

There are also three spec levels to choose from: entry, Trend, and the top-of-the-range SportVan, while payload ranges from 490 to 515kg and load volume is 1.0m3.

Power comes from either a 1.25-litre Duratec petrol unit with 81hp, or two diesel options - a 1.4-litre 67hp TDCi or a 1.6-litre 89hp TDCi.

Standard equipment on the entry version is comprehensive and includes ABS with EBD, CD/radio with MP3 connection and steering wheel-mounted controls, electric front windows and door mirrors, and body-colour roof spoiler.

The SportVan, which has the 1.6 HDI unit as standard, also adds 16in alloys, air-con, Bluetooth hands-free, ESP, side airbags, alarm and sports suspension.

Ford states that both its 1.4 and 1.6HDI units have a combined fuel consumption of 67.3mpg and CO2 emissions of just 110g/km.

Prices start at £9,025 for the entry petrol version and rise to £10,780 for the 1.6-litre SportVan.
