DHL's network of service points in the UK has reached 900, with many more in the pipeline.
The firm's ServicePoint network expanded at the end of 2008 when it opened 400 counters in WH Smiths stores, taking its total to around 750 (Motor Transport, 16 October 2008).
Since then DHL has welcomed
self-storage firm Safestore to its network, and says several other potential partners are interested in joining up.
Shannon Diett, marketing manager for DHL Express UK, tells Motor Transport: "We launched the ServicePoint network two years ago in branches of Staples, the stationers. We now have 135 service points with Staples."
He says DHL will keep growing its ServicePoint network until it reaches its "optimum level".
