Transaid wants to raise at least £20,000 during Transaid Week (29 June to 3 July) to go towards supporting its work improving transport efficiency in Africa.
Current projects include improving access to healthcare for women and children in Nigeria to increasing driver training standards in Zambia. Just £200 can pay for Transaid to deliver a two-week driver training course in Zambia.
Transaid chief executive Chris Saunders says: "Transaid Week is a great way to motivate employees and to highlight the need for investment in transport skills and knowledge across the developing world. We need your support to continue making an impact in communities that need it."
Transaid Week is buoyed by Transaid being the designated charity at the MT Awards on 1 July. For fundraising ideas, go to www.transaid.org.
