The Icelandic shipping and logistics company Eimskip is selling its majority shareholding in the short sea carrier Containerships Group as part of afinancial restructuring programme.
The Icelandic shipping group is disposing of its 65% shareholding to minority shareholder, and Containerships' parent company, Container Finance Ltd Oy.
Eimskip and Containerships, which have a UK base at Teesport, had been involved in a joint venture (JV) agreement since October 2006.
Eimskip Denmark will remain the agent for Containerships in Denmark, and Containerships will continue to be an agent for Eimskip in Finland.
