Elaine Miller, operations director at Wincanton Container Logistics, was named Woman of the Year at the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards today (14 May).
She started her career as an
accountant at Russell Davies, becoming the firm’s first and only female director. When the business was sold to Securicor, she became development director. After a sabbatical she joined Hanbury Davies. When it was sold to Wincanton, she helped facilitate the integration. She also facilitated the integration of subsequent Wincanton purchase CEL.

The awards, in association
with Skills for Logistics and supported by Motor Transport, are designed to highlight the contributions women make in the industry and to encourage more women to pursue a career in transport and logistics.
