Kwik Fit is installing Cybit fleet tracking systems to its 200 tyre-fitting vehicles in the UK in an effort to improve customer service, fuel consumption and employee health and safety.
Simon Lucas, operations director at Kwik Fit Mobile, says the web-based Fleetstar-Online system will help the company manage and analyse the performance of its van drivers.
He adds: "We will be using the system to manage the allocation of our mobile workforce, ensuring that we allocate the closest and most appropriate resource to a customer's premises."
John Wisdom, Cybit sales and marketing director, says the system will enable Kwik Fit Mobile to reduce its costs "in a range of areas", including fuel spend and preventive maintenance.
