New Commercial Vehicle Operator Show launched

09 June 2009

The Commercial Vehicle Operator (CVO) Show will be held on 13-15 April next year at Birmingham's NEC.

Run by the organisers of the CV Show - the Road Haulage Association (RHA), IRTE Services (a branch of the Society of Operations Engineers) and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) - the CVO show is targeted at transport operators "that will add value and deliver operating solutions",  according to RHA chief executive Geoff Dunning.

Nick Jones, chief executive of the SOE, says: "This new show will be an ideal platform, particularly for those specialising in vehicle maintenance equipment, replacement parts, logistics and fleet management systems."

SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt adds: "There have been strong calls from companies within the sector for the CV Show Partnership to run a new-style event in 2010. The CVO Show will meet this demand while setting the scene for the return of the CV Show in 2011."

This year's CV Show was cancelled in January.
