Malaysian vehicle manufacturer Weststar may yet relaunch its plan to buy LDV after reports surfaced that it was tabling yet another offer for the van-maker, which went into administration earlier this month.
According to Sky News, Weststar has already devised a business plan for LDV, but was still waiting on the van-maker's administrators to provide protection from creditors.
Despite assurances from Weststar's managing director, Bob Rai, that production would remain in Birmingham, there are still concerns over Weststar's long-term plans for the Washwood Heath plant.
However, the possibility of LDV being saved is of little consolation for the nearly 850-strong workforce who have been made redundant after Weststar's initial £45m offer fell through.
