ND workers to vote on pay deal

Wednesday 01 July 2009 12:35

Staff at Norbert Dentressangle (ND) were expected to accept a pay freeze, but reject proposals for more than a 15% reduction in working hours, as Motor Transport went to press.

Unite was due to meet ND at Acas on 30 June to thrash out an agreement over proposals for pay and conditions for 2009-2010 (MT 4 June.)

A Unite spokesman says around 640 members are being represented. He adds: "We have rejected proposals for reducing a 48-hour week to 40, but have not opposed a pay freeze; we don't like it, but we will keep it under constant review."

ND was unavailable for comment.
