The Driver CPC legislation takes effect from 10 September this year, and from that date all truck drivers will need to carry out 35 hours of approved training every five years. To ease the burden on the beleaguered road transport sector, we've teamed up with Fraikin to launch The Big Train, a programme of low-cost high-value approved training for the industry.
For just £99 per driver you can take your first steps to Driver CPC compliance and get ahead of the pack. "Driver CPC formalises 'on the job' training for the road transport industry and will help raise quality standards,"says Keri Ashton, HR manager - resourcing and development at Fraikin, who has spent the last year developing the firm's training programme.
"The Big Train is a fantastic opportunity for drivers to take their first steps to satisfying the periodic training requirement in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with other drivers."
The first of the Big Train events will be held on Saturday 12th September at the Warwick University Training Centre, Nr Kenilworth. To book your space on the first course, go to the website: www.roadtransport.com/bigtrain or call 020 8652 3818.
