Tradeteam was named Haulier of the Year last night at the Motor Transport Awards.
Held before an audience of 1,300 road transport professionals in the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, it was a special night for Tradeteam as the drinks distributor also won the Customer Care Award.
Gist also won two awards: the Safety Award and the Training Award.
TNT Express won three awards: the Environment Award, International Operator of the Year and its national engineering manager Steve Davis won Fleet Engineer of the Year.
The Service to the Industry Award went to Nightfreight chairman Robbie Burns.
Motor Transport editor Justin Stanton told the audience: “Your ability to overcome the challenges of the past year is a beacon to UK industry, it is a silver lining in the dark clouds of recession that hang over us, and it makes Motor Transport fiercely proud to stage these awards and to highlight the outstanding work being carried out by so many different transport businesses.”
