Transport for London has launched a short training video targeted at cyclists and lorry drivers with a view to increasing road safety.
The video, called 'Cyclists and Freight: Sharing the road together', aims to "help cyclists and lorry drivers navigate London's busy roads - and each other - safely".
The instructional clip takes cyclists into the cab of an HGV, showing exactly what a haulier sees - or rather, doesn't see - while driving in the capital. Truck drivers are also made aware of cyclists' movements and given a few easy tips to reduce the risk of accidents.
Six cyclists have died in collisions with lorries in the capital this year. More than 545,000 cycle journeys are made every day in the capital - a 91% increase since 2000.
