UPS closes sites in Derbyshire and Warwickshire

Wednesday 29 July 2009 08:50

UPS Supply Chain Solutions has closed two sites in Derbyshire and Warwickshire, with staff moving to the logistics arm of DX Group under TUPE regulations.

A UPS spokesman states: "UPS has completed a consultation period with 45 employees based at Baginton. As a result, the workforce has been transferred to DX Logistics."

The site was part of a shared user operation, so it wasn't dedicated to just one contract.

Meanwhile, a UPS spokesman says: "Two employees that were based at the UPS package centre in Alfreton were not part of the agreement. A solution is being sought for them separately."
