Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has applied to open a 27-place truckstop behind its BP garage in Victoria, Cornwall, in a bid to lower lorry congestion in the area.
The company has submitted a revised application for its site near the B3274 off the A30, after Cornwall County Council deemed its first incomplete.
MFG's administration manager Costi Michaelides says he is confident environmental impact studies of the site will now meet the council's criteria.
Plans for the brownfield site include space for 27 HGVs and eight caravans, as well as showers, toilets and eateries.
"In and around the garage is inundated with trucks and this is affecting our business in a bad way by deterring some customers. Lorries are also parking in local roads because there is no secure parking, so this site would cater for the that demand," Michaelides tells RoadTransport.com.
The council says it is currently reviewing the revised application.
