CPL Distribution buys 33 new CVs

02 September 2009

Coal merchant CPL Distribution is renewing part of its existing 160-vehicle mixed fleet with 33 new light and medium commercial vehicles from fleet CV supplier Fraikin.

The new vehicles, which include six Toyota Dyna 350 pickups, eight 7.5-tonne Isuzu  N75.190s, and 19 DAF LF55 rigids, will replace older vehicles and will be used primarily to deliver solid fuels to both private and commercial customers.

CPL transport manager Mandy Gill says: "Contract hire works well for our business because it ensures fixed running costs and a single point of contact, which is important as our fleet is spread across 32 different depots throughout the UK."

All CPL's new trucks are covered by a five-year contract-hire agreement, which includes all repair and maintenance, MoTs, road tax and 24-hour emergency assistance.
