
Multi-temperature haulier Grocontinental is defying the economic downturn and investing £6m to expand the business.
The Whitchurch, Shropshire-based firm is set to take delivery of new trucks as part of a £3m fleet investment programme.
The company also plans to spend £3m on building a new 80,000ft2 temperature-controlled facility.
The investment follows a pre-tax profit of £1.3m for the year to 31 October 2008 and turnover of £21.3m.
