21 October 2009

The 2010 Fleet Safety Forum Awards for Excellence are now open for entries from operators who have improved the safety of their fleets this year. Organised by the Fleet Safety Forum, a division of road safety charity Brake, the awards will be presented at a gala dinner in Warwickshire on Thursday 1 July 2010.

This year's winners included Royal Mail, Allied Bakeries, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions and Suckling Transport MD Peter Larner. Entries are invited from organisations running any  type of fleet and from companies that provide products or services to fleets, who have worked to improve fleet safety.

The 10 categories include: Road Risk Manager of the Year; Company Driver Safety; Fleet Safety Analysis and Action; and - new for 2010 - the Eco Fleet Award for "improving safety and the environment by introducing green initiatives".
