Several leading logistics businesses have made the latest Sunday Times Top Track 250 list, which charts the UK's biggest mid-market private companies.
Highest rated, at 54, is Northern Irish business Ballyvesey Holdings, which includes Montgomery Trans-port, Montracon trailers, and several rental and truck sales operations in its portfolio.
In 100th place is Uxbridge firm Allport, followed by Freightliner (102), Malcolm Group (149), Bulkhaul (182), Turners (Soham) (204), DX Group (214), Clipper Logistics Group (247) and truck rental firm Dawsongroup (250).
David Hodkin, FD at Clipper, says the company has moved up from the Fast Track 100 list. "We are delighted. It reflects the fact that we are now a serious and significant player in the market."
