Additive company seeks UK haulier for trial

Friday 06 November 2009 12:01

A Dutch-based fuel additive firm is seeking a UK haulier to trial its product - and promises a full refund if mpg doesn't improve by at least 5%.

Cleanerglobe - which sell its product under the brand 'Less' - says one litre of its product, which costs £120, is enough to treat 8,000 litres of fuel.

It works by improving the combustion of the fuel, which it claims boosts power, lowers fuel consumption and in turn, reduces CO2 emissions.

Although the firm has had meetings with all the major truck-makers, so far none have officially endorsed the product. However, Cleanerglobe's Les Cozzi says it has had some success in on-road trials, notably with Dutch haulier Wesseling Transport, which saw mpg improve by 10%.
