Around 250 jobs at Norbert Dentressangle's (ND)First Quench Retail (FQR) operational centre in Dunstable are at risk as a result of FQR going into administration.
An ND spokeswoman confirmed the potential job losses.
A company statement says ND is awaiting notification from administrator KPMG as to how it intends the supply chain operation to proceed while it seeks a buyer for the FQR business.
"While these discussions are ongoing, we are not able to offer any further comment, except to say that we regret the position faced by our colleagues at Dunstable, and that we will provide practical support to assist all those who may be affected, including identifying suitable vacancy opportunities across the rest of our business," the statement adds.
In July, 331 ND employees were due to transfer to FQR following the drinks supplier's decision to take logistics back in-house. However, since FQR entered administration last week, Phil Shaw, business unit director at ND Logistics UK, revealed that the retailer decided not to exit the agreement or transfer staff.
