Bulk liquid and foodstuffs specialist Abbey Road Tanks (ART) has posted an increase in profit and turnover, but predicts slower growth in 2010 due to the economic downturn.
Turnover at the Liverpool-based company rose to £19.1m for the 12 months to June 2009, up from £16.6m in the same period in 2008.
Pre-tax profit increased to £808,000 in 2009, from £606,000 in the previous 12-month period.
ART managing director Steve Granite says: "Due to the current economic climate we do not envisage the level of growth experienced in recent years will continue into 2010, but a prudent approach to business will ensure profit margins do not suffer."
The company, which received environmental accreditation ISO14001 during the year, says one of its key performance indicators (KPIs) is the measurement of its carbon footprint.
