How have hauliers fared in the Noughties?

It started with fuel protests and it ended with fuel duty going up. But, aside from the obvious, much has changed in this decade for the road haulage industry.

ERF and Foden are among the famous brands to disappear. Digital tacographs and the Euro-series emissions standards have been introduced. Meanwhile, drivers have their working hours governed by European legislation and can now be issued on-the-spot fines.
