Renault adds new products to LCV line-up

Tuesday 09 February 2010 02:49

Renault has added two new products to its LCV line-up with the launch of the Kangoo Van Maxi and Trafic Phase III.

Starting with the Kangoo, the Maxi version is 384mm longer than the regular Kangoo Van, and the added length means load volume is boosted by 1.6m3 to 4.6m3, while payload remains broadly the same at 800kg.

A spokesman for Renault says: "The Maxi is the third variation in the Kangoo line-up and joins the existing Compact and Kangoo Van versions. Depending on your operation, the Maxi can be specified in two and five-seat configurations, with any of the existing Kangoo engines on sale today."

Also new to Renault's LCV line-up is the Trafic Phase III, which features a redesigned interior with higher levels of specification. For starters, the mid-size van gets a brand new dashboard with an A4 document holder above the centre console, plus a storage slot above the glovebox, while new equipment includes automatic climate control, Carminat TomTom navigation system and cruise control.

Renault's spokesman adds: "Both models will go on sale at the start of June and we will confirm prices for the Kangoo Maxi and Trafic Phase III closer to the time."
