Small and compact it may be, but the little Citroen has plenty of positives - including the company's usual entertaining chassis and commendably punchy diesel engine.
The rear provides only limited storage space at 0.84m3, partly as a result of the curved rear pillars. However access is strong due to a split-tail hatch, with the lower part making a useful shelf when dropped.
With several new entrants already on the market or on their way, the Berlingo/Partner is starting to look a little long in the tooth.
It goes well, thanks to a refined 2.0-litre engine that delivers its power in an even and progressive manner, while the chassis offers a composed ride.
However with the advent of heavier, more solid competition it now feels a touch lightweight in construction - particularly when on the motorway - and a full payload can make it feel a little over-burdened.
Pros:- Entertaining drive
- Stylish design
