Road Tests:
Until a newer version of its arch-nemesis, the Vauxhall Corsavan, came along, the Fiesta van was as good as it got in the small hatchback category. It does little wrong, in driving and ownership terms, and comes with a level of build quality that is amongst the best in the class.
Up front it is a paragon of efficient design thanks to sound dashboard layout and positive driving position, complete with plenty of adjustment. The topnotch finish is also evident when on the move, with very little road or wind noise permeating into the cabin.
In the rear you get one of the largest load areas in the class at 1.0m3; a low lip allows for easy access.
But if that all sounds nice and practical then the way it goes is a real bonus. The 1.4-litre TDCi spins up to the red line with real urge while the ride and cornering are both first class.
Pros:- The way it goes, stops and corners
- Well designed load area
| Cons:- Cabin looks a little dull
