Road Tests:
The range had a makeover for Euro-4, though changes were reserved for the powertrain, with the total line-up powered by a revamped common rail 2.5-litre engine with 100,120 or 150hp on tap. The latter is a welcome replacement for the old 3.0-litre Nissan engine, offering 136hp, which we always found noisy and thirsty.
The six-speed transmission is the standard fit, with the extremely effective Quickshift 6 auto box an option. ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution are standard fit, but electronic stability control isn't.
Although left behind in terms of looks and interior design the Master/Movano/Interstar represents a comprehensive package with umpteen body options suitable for all but the biggest volume requirements - it tops out at 13.9m3. Lack of investment in styling and design should pay off in terms of purchase price.
Pros:- Automated transmission best in class
- Engines give strong performance
| Cons:- Interior dated compared with modern competition
- ESP not standard
