Road Tests & Reviews: Peugeot 207

With peugeot's reputation built on hatchbacks, this latest version of its minivan has plenty to live up to.
But it only takes a short time to realise the commercial 207 retains all the qualities you would expect from the French manufacturer.

It's a real gem on the road, feeling well planted at any speed and turning in with all the verve you'd expect from a hot hatch.

Power delivery is equally impressive, particularly in 90hp guise, which allows you to cover ground quickly.
Inside, the tilt to sportiness is reflected in the curvy architecture of the dashboard and door panelling, with the fit and finish noticeably robust.

Due to its passenger car toots, and therefore its inevitable focus on fashion as well as function, the 207 has a rear loadspace which is hindered by the surrounding architecture. But the important thing is that you can still pack in enough kit to make it competitive with the competition in this category.

Pros:

  • Fun to drive
  • Improved build quality

Cons:

  • Very little
