Back To Basics
by: Colin Barnett
Vauxhall's Renault Master Clone, the Movano range, is now firmly established as a mature product in a cut-throat market. We took to the road in a fleet-spec example and discovered that even without a huge list of options, Movano drivers have nothing to complain about. It's also highly productive...

Verdict

This example of the latest Movano variant may not have been laden to the roof with luxury options, but even so it would be inconceivabley luxurious to a Bedford CF driver. Mind you, the CF man wouyld also find a price tag of twenty grand a bit hard to swallow. The Movano's performance, comfort and refinement are all approaching car levels, even at this spec level. But as Commercial Motor has said many times before, no-one buys a van for the fun of it - it's the bottom line that counts. With its highly impressive fuel economy, competitive load-carrying ability and a servicing/warranty package that is the equal of any, the Movano's bottom line means that getting back to basics makes perfect sense.
