Hi Ho Silver!

Ford's Ranger is the latest pickup to get the revamp treatment. We test one example that's so new, you can practically smell the pineapple plantation where it was built.

Verdict

In every respect, the new Ranger is a great improvement on its predecessor. It's probably fair to say that in no single area is it best in class, although cabin refinement comes pretty close.l but equally, it's definitely far from being worstr in class in every respect. We've always had a high regard for the outgoing Ranger's durability and off-roadability. The new model is such an improvement that its increased success in the market should be a given. The only question is whether, once again, coming late to market with an updated product will work against Ford as its rivals retain their lead.
