Worth Getting Used Toby: Kevin Swallow
Early Examples of MAN's TG-A tractor are now up for sale again. So what does 'Trucknology' have to offer their new owners?
Verdict
The fact that MAN Diesel is offering 'try then buy' and contract-hire deals, in addition to outright sales, suggests that the company might have a few TG-As around. We're confident MAN can get them back out again. NX51 AOH offers a first class driving experience and its 403hp handles 44 tonnes very well. Only the hill climbs will slow you down against more powerful trucks on the road.
The narrower cab is favoured by those pulling the fleet purse strings but the XL cab, while not the tallest on the market, has plenty of bunk space for taller drivers.
It does have a slightly high mileage but NX51 AOH is in very good condition and should be a welcome addition to any company's fleet.
