Roger Brown
Senior reporter, Road Transport Group

roger.brown@rbi.co.uk

I am road transport group senior reporter, writing for Motor Transport, Commercial Motor, Roadtransport.com and sometimes Truck & Driver and Van Fleet Management.

The areas I tend to cover are: intermodal transport, containers, freight forwarders, Software/IT and international haulage, as well as environmental issues such as low-emission zones and Longer, Heavier Vehicles (LHVs), congestion charging, vehicle emissions and fuel additives.

I also write about own-account operators, large hauliers, heavy haulage and infrastructure – including ports, road building, truckstops and Highways Agency matters.

Please do get in touch if you have a story, opinion or ideas on these topics and want to contribute to our print or online offerings.

I obtained a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the University of Central Lancashire in 2002, and went on to work for newspapers in Essex before joining Motor Transport in 2007.

Outside of work I enjoy travel (I lived in Australia in 2000/01), spending time with family and friends and following the fortunes of Liverpool Football Club.
