Pro Truck Auctions has first sale

Pro Truck Auctions, a new name run by a familiar face, got off the ground this week with its first sale. Charlie Wright is the man behind the hammer, ably assisted by his father Chris.

Based just off junction 2 of the M180 the opening sale, on the purpose-built site, got off to a strong start with plenty of trucks and trailers up for grabs, and the turnout saw plenty of familiar faces from trade and end users battling it out for the best stock.
There was a complimentary menu for the opening day and arguably the most worked staff was the catering team. Only once did the queue for free food get down to single figures as people doubled up on the burgers and bacon sandwiches. Rumours that a Pole ordered a Sunday Roast ‘with all the trimmings’ and is still waiting were unsubstantiated, but yours truly put on a stone at least…
