New Bidder for Scania?

The Wallenberg family – which owns 46.6 per cent of the vote in Investor AB – may be forced into making a bid for Scania, according to reports in the Swedish press.

The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority is to look into whether the fact the Wallenberg family controls 30 pct of the votes in Scania AB obliges it to make a bid for the truck maker.

After purchases on Tuesday, Investor AB has a 20.01 pct voting stake in Scania, and together with the Wallenberg foundations, the Wallenberg family controls 30.6 pct of the votes in the truck maker.
