New road transport website online by Christmas

The all-new RoadTransport.com website is beginning to take shape ahead of our December launch.

I said when we first started this blog that we'd try to keep users posted about the development of our new website for the road transport sector. With the launch now a matter of weeks away i thought i'd kick off with a sneak preview of some of the main elements you can expect to see when we go live.

The Road Transport Blog will remain post-launch, but the site will be much more extensive with content covering a number of different areas to satisfy the user requirements we've identified through research. I'll go into more detail in later posts, but for starters here's a quick tour of the main elements:

Buy & Sell: You'll be able to source all your used trucks and vans through our new Buy&Sell classified environment. The fully searchable service will mean that whenever you're in the market for a used truck or van, or have one to shift, RoadTranspot.com/Buy&Sell will be just a click away.

Jobs: We're launching a dedicated job site for road transport. So if you need staff or are looking for a move within the industry, there's only one place to look.

Test reviews: Our team of truck and van testers are checking out more products than anyone else and on the website you'll be able to trawl through hundreds of roadtests to get their view on the commercial vehicle you're thinking of buying. What's more, we also intend to give you the chance to review the products you're running in your operation.

News: As you'd expect with the biggest news team in the sector we'll be serving up a daily dose of road transport news to ensure you stay ahead of the game.

RoadLegal: The legislative burden is a major issue for road transport companies and our RoadLegal section should be your first port of call for legal information. Simple straightforward guidance, with all the necessary links to make sure you get the right legal help and advice when you need it most.

and finally Blogs: This is the mortar which holds the site together and is your chance to participate in this exciting new website. Whether you're adding comments or think you'd like to start your own blog on the www.roadtransport.com website we want you to get in touch...

i'll be blogging regularly as we go through to launch and beyond, so make sure you keep coming back for updates...
