Today in Road Transport, 17 April 2008

A more positive turn of events today, as Somerset haulier RT Keedwell defies the current economic conditions to report a growth in both turnover and profit.

We also have some useful advice for operators and drivers from our most recent clutch of legal stories: don’t forget to use your tacho, don’t lend your O-licence to anyone else, and don’t let your proposed transport manager disappear.

A couple of interesting interviews have also just appeared on the site: Tim Ward, MD of Northside Truck & Van (Motor Transport’s Dealer of the Year 2007), talks about expansion and investment; and Bob Wrigglesworth, operations director of drinks wholesaler WaverleyTBS, explains his quest for greater efficiency.

Again, don’t forget to check out our special CV Show page for links to all the latest news from the NEC – and the RT TV video report from the second day of the show is now available to watch, with the third one coming later today.
