Judging by today’s news stories, police forces around the country are being especially proactive at the moment: the Metropolitan Police is to trial a series of “informal meetings” with drivers to educate them about legislative changes, and Kent Police is clamping down on drivers parking illegally on an industrial estate.

Staying for a moment with the themes of safety and legal compliance, the London Cycling Campaign criticises the DfT for not yet making blind-spot mirrors part of the annual truck test.
