Today in Road Transport, 10 June

The soaring price of fuel remains top of the news agenda - 650 tanker drivers delivering to Shell petrol stations look set to strike if ACAS talks on this year's pay deal fails; and hauliers across Europe have been expressing their anger at fuel duty through direct action.

Elsewhere, there is confusion as to whether HGVs will have to pay Manchester's proposed congestion charge, and profit and turnover are both down at Fortec Distribution Network.

Over in the blogs, BigLorryBlog shares video and photos from the Classic and Vintage Commercial Show at Gaydon last weekend - including footage of a convoy of classic trucks belonging to the 'Steel Boys'. And for something a little different, BLB also has some unusual snaps of amphibious trucks.
