Today in Road Transport, 9 June 2008

Today Roadtransport.com sheds light on two of the industry's biggest issues. As well as taking an in-depth look at the TRL/Heriot-Watt University report on longer, heavier vehicles (LHVs), we can report that a majority of operators believe the upcoming Driver CPC will not 'enhance the professionalism' of road transport.

Also today, there's good news for Wincanton as it boosts its turnover and profits, but a salutary lesson for Dennis Eagle which is fined £166,000 following the death of one of its field service engineers.

And over in the blogs, BigLorryBlog spots a right-hand-drive Steyr tractor with high-top sleeper.
