Today in Road Transport, 23rd January 2009

The organisers of the CV Show are hopeful that it will return in 2010, after this year's show was cancelled earlier in the month. It looks likely that the show will become a biennial event - but do they really want to go up against the mighty IAA Show in Hannover in the same year?

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association has criticised VOSA's revised fee structure for vehicle testing and inspection: the BVRLA says its members will be forced to act as tax collectors to reclaim the newly integrated O-licence vehicle fee from their customers - and it will cost them £3.2m a year.

Yet another firm goes into administration - this time it's Potential Vehicle Hire, which manages around 1,200 vehicles. However, the administrator is hopeful that there is a future for the business.
