Truck prices are set to rise - soon - because of the weakness of the Pound. Ray Ashworth, incoming CEO of DAF UK, says: "We've seen a 20% adverse swing in the currency, so we need to increase our prices by around 7% next month." Ouch.

Don't you love it when the trade associations get angry? The Freight Transport Association is calling the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) an "expensive folly" and saying that it has resulted in "negligible environmental benefits".

Hauliers working out of Hull Container Terminal are celebrating after the owner PD Ports agreed to drop its proposed £5 per vehicle gate charge.
